I am having a hard time with this place, basically a nice clean friendly place. Nice location down town, parking is easy. The menu is large, probably to large, they seem to be mixed up between a burger joint or a Tex-Mex joinr, some sea food mixed in.... I ordered a ground round burger, sweet potato fries and a Coke. My spouse had the seafood spagetti thing... The problem occurs now, I have been to a few places over the years...We were in a group of 15 people, we ordered together....it is Sunday, there is some church crowd here too. So basically busy... Staff are trained and working, but I believe they have a problem in the kitchen. .. Our food came out cold, we're not ones to send back, so we got through our meal. Other than the food temperature, we agree the food was tasty, yet we endured some risk... We had dessert, it was the deep fried Oreo's and ice cream... Hot and rich...good. I believe if the main meal came out hot this review would be a four.... We're going back in Sept. We'll see them..

Stopped through on our way to KC. Good menu selections, fair price, good spot, nice inside. This place is huge, i wouldnt expect there has ever been a wait to be seated. I would come back given the opportunity...

First time here and was pleasantly surprised. I had the potato skins for an appetizer. They were nice and hot with lots of cheese and bacon and crispy skins. Yum! For my sandwich I ordered the Clubhouse burger and enjoyed it very much. Overall I thought the food was good quality and the service was excellent. I thought the prices were a little high but still within reason.

Went here for lunch. The service was awesome! I had the Buffalo Chicken Salad. It was a large salad and very good. I would definitely go back. I live that they serve you free popcorn!

Ground Round WAS a nationwide chain at one point, as I understand it they have around 25 restaurants left. I have never had a meal here that I could complain about. The food is reasonably priced and adequate to large portions. My 26 yr old son always orders their Sirloin Steak and says it's the best he's ever had. My family eats at The Ground Round at least once every two months.

Went to visit my grandmother in St. Joseph. She was very excited to go to the Ground Round. We ordered the taco salad and found all the meat to be at room temperature (prior to mixing in our sour cream). We told the manager and she said she'd yell at the cooks. She did not offer a discount for the food... was not very personable. I'll never return.

The service itself was fine but the food was average........if that. My fish tacos and spanish rice were decent but my wife thought her burger & fries were well below average. This and 2 Cokes were $30. I see no reason to go back.

The portions were small. I had the mango tilapia with squash and subbed sweet potato fries for the rice. The squashed was steamed not sautéed, so there was very little flavor. The fries cost an extra $0.99 which was stated on the menu. The waitress asked if I wanted honey butter for the fries. I said yes I'd like to try it. When the check was brought to the table I was charged $0.50 for butter. I would eat here as a last resort.
